Stop Dreaming.
It’s exhausting to continually feel like you’re not doing enough. Being stressed to your wits end should never have been normalized. You deserve your life exactly the way you are.
You deserve to be here.
-
Relish in yourself.
Come sit by our brook, come hike in our woods, come sit by our fire. Read our books, join us for games, rest in our beds. we have great drinks, we have fun foods, we have the perfect company for you.
You are who we’ve been waiting for.

Start Being.
At the Mountain Brook Inn, we might burn your croissant, our stairs may be a little crooked, and our roosters may be a little crazy. It’s not perfect, and we’re not perfect, but for now it’s perfect for us.
You’re welcome exactly the way you are.

The Catskill Mountains have been a source of inspiration for artists, writers, and creators for generations. The Mountain Brook Inn is no exception.
The Mountain Brook Inn was bound to be a signature Catskills gathering point from the moment that Mrs. Anna Wolf purchased the land in 1960. Originally named The Mountain Brook Chalet, Mrs. Wolf brought her dream to life with through the strength of her vision and the arm of her son, Peter. The Chalet opened to the world in 1965 and was single-handedly run by Mrs. Wolf as the beacon of inspiration it was destined to be.
Passed from her capable hands to those of Mr. Gary Simmons in 2003, The Chalet was renamed The Mountain Brook Inn and continued to prosper with the addition of St. Bernards, a pack of roaming chickens, and weekly family dinners. For the last 20 years, Mr. Gary has ushered The Inn into the 21st century, built on its charm, and furthered its reputation as a refuge for those who seek rest and a chance to reconnect with themselves.
We are excited and honored that Mr. Gary has passed us the mantle of innkeeper for The Mountain Brook Inn. We are busy working on how we can best continue its history as a place of wonder and inspiration through updated designs in the rooms and a re-concepting of the restaurant space.
We are looking forward to stewarding The Mountain Brook Inn on its continued journey through time.
